Steps taken.

I spent most of yesterday on the phone. It was good; I got a lot done.

I talked to someone in Canadian Customs about my gear. I'll have to pay some tax to take my gear into the country, but it's only about 7% on the current "street value". That shouldn't add up to too much. I also have us on waiting lists at three storage facilities and put my car up for sale in the Recycler and Auto Trader. All-in-all, it was a "getting things done" kind of day. I take the minivan in tomorrow for a service and pick my car up from the mechanic.

I downloaded iTunes 6 tonight and got immediately excited when I saw the "video podcasts". I've spent most of the night mulling over an idea. It's simple, really: A Hollywood director, after a series of failures, is forced to take a job making a documentary about the "real" Canada and is sent to the Canadian prairies. It's not a film, and it's not a TV show - it's a podcast! It'll take place in segments about 10 minutes long and already, it's coming together nicely in my head. There's a lot more to it than that, but if I told you, I'd have to kill you. Look for it soon on a video-capable iPod (or iTunes 6 or streaming video over the web) near you!

Also, I realised that my blog entries are too long. Sometimes, less really is more. Expect less in the future.
